OUR MISSION
Our mission is to nurture the social-emotional well-being and character of at-risk youth and their families, transforming them into better individuals, in order to positively impact themselves, their family, community, and our world. Our program allows youth to thrive through urban gardening and through supportive in-school and after-school mentorship. Youth develop vital social-emotional skills like patience, perseverance, cooperation, and responsibility. Combined with dedicated mentors as well as service learning and character education, youth develop strong, positive character. This allows them to achieve their potential. In doing this, cycles of harmful behaviors are broken, healthy relationships and behaviors are formed allowing these youth to be the best version of themselves and positively impact themselves, their families, our city, and our world for generations to come.
Our organization hosts engaging events to foster a sense of community and support for our mentees. These events provide a platform for meaningful interactions and learning opportunities for both mentees and the community.
